This pack of coaching cards contains 40 cards each with a unique question. The deck comes with a user guide that details how the cards can be used in a variety of exercises in both group and individual settings. People, places, and things surround us and influence our wellbeing. This notion is grounded in theory which suggests that our lived experience (or occupational performance) is shaped through our interactions with people (including self), places and things.

The importance of people, places and things…

  • People – Developing and maintaining strong relationships shapes and influences who we are. We need each other as people and our interactions define who we are.
  • Places – Each of us need a connection to somewhere where we can think, play, dream and ‘BE ME’. Places are important. Where is your happy place?
  • Things – Things matter. What are things? They are the ‘stuff of life’ that has meaning to us. Our ‘things’ transport us to memories and feelings of significance.

People, places and things are significant to all of us. The use of these coaching cards is to increase the awareness and reflection of feelings and emotions in ourselves throughout the journey of life. It is when we begin to understand the influence of people, places and things that we can influence our future path and wellbeing.
