Our Purpose
We believe in the power of ‘story’ and its connections with each other. We believe this brings meaning. We believe this is the essence of person-centred care. We believe that this is applicable to all social and health care settings; it is a way of living and therefore it should the basis of the way we support wellness in our care models.
Meaning is shaped by our story, the moments in life that matter. Collectively capturing these moments and ensuring they matter provides us with meaning and purpose. The secret to a meaningful life is being free to be ‘me’ and engage in experiences, moments, occupation that matter.
It is about connections based in love, attachment and real engagement.

The Foundations
Story of the String
Everybody has a story, that story is represented as a continuous woollen string of time…. Along that string are moments big and small, impacts that shape us and help define who we are and where we are. The string also connects us to each other as our lives cross and mingle with those around us.
The string is gentle and caring and always follows the form of it surroundings never in tension, cutting or slicing. Wool is the perfect natural material for this string as it is soft and versatile, and it too comes from another life with its own story. Sometimes we put string on a finger to remember things, a gentle way to stimulate memory. We make warm and cosy garments to keep us warm and safe.
